As you may know, our school currently implements The Leader in Me, which is a process that teaches 21st century life and leadership skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader.

In our school, The Leader in Me is enabling students to take ownership of their education and learn the leadership and life skills students need to succeed in life. Students are learning how to become self-reliant, control their emotions, do their homework, prioritize their time, resolve conflicts, interact well with others, and more.

As a parent, you play an integral role in supporting your child’s success as a leader. New resources are now available to you on The Leader in Me website to support you in doing so.

We are so appreciative of the support that you continue to give to our school so that your child continues to learn and develop the skills necessary to succeed in the 21st century.

I personally appreciate your help in furthering our leadership mission.

Best Regards,
Dr. Joe Roselle

Why choose Laveen?

Our school is committed to developing and delivering a well-rounded educational program for all our students.  We believe this includes rigorous academics, varied co-curricular programs, and an effective partnership between home and school.

Laveen Leadership Academy is a Leader in Me school where students are taught and practice the seven habits of highly effective people.  The Leader in Me program empowers young people to make positive, effective, and responsible choices by introducing and reinforcing the seven habits, a set of leadership and life skills from Stephen Covey’s book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. When taught and practiced in a Preschool-Grade 8 environment, the 7 Habits have been proven to improve academic engagement, comprehension, and performance by strengthening individual work habits and improving social interactions.  They help improve student performance and support school success by helping to foster the qualities of independence, interdependence, and renewal.
